About Us & How We Review
Last updated: October 14, 2025
supplements.guide is an independent resource that helps readers understand supplement products before visiting a vendor’s page. We summarize brand claims, pricing context, policies (shipping/refund), and the general ingredient background—without making medical claims or offering individualized advice.
Our Mission & Editorial Principles
Neutral & Practical
We focus on what shoppers need before purchase: what’s on the official page, what terms apply (refund, discounts), and how the product is positioned.
Evidence-Aware
We reference ingredient background using credible sources (peer-reviewed journals, authoritative organizations) when context is helpful. We avoid disease claims.
Independence
Editorial decisions are separate from revenue. Affiliate relationships never determine what we write, and we disclose them clearly.
User Respect
We keep pages lightweight, accessible, and privacy-respecting. We don’t sell personal information. See our Privacy Policy.
How We Review (Methodology)
- Scope the Brand Page. We review the official page (price structure, bundles, shipping windows, refund policy, checkout security) and summarize key points neutrally.
- Check the Label & Ingredients. When accessible, we look at serving size and key ingredients. We provide high-level background (e.g., probiotic strains, fibers, botanicals) without making clinical promises.
- Cross-Reference Sources. For general ingredient background we consult primary/authoritative sources (peer-reviewed journals, NIH/med-style databases, manufacturer quality notes). We cite or paraphrase at a high level only.
- Quality & Safety Notes. We indicate standard manufacturing language when available (e.g., GMP-compliant facilities) and emphasize consulting a professional for personal use questions.
- Claims & Compliance Review. We remove unverified claims (e.g., “FDA approved” for supplements) and avoid disease-treatment language.
- Finalize the Pre-Purchase Summary. We keep it concise and direct, with clear CTAs to the official vendor page. We omit features that belong on checkout (bundle selectors, upsells).
Evidence & Source Standards
- Primary/authoritative first: peer-reviewed research, recognized public-health institutions, official brand documentation.
- No cherry-picking: we avoid using single studies to make broad claims.
- Context over hype: ingredient notes are background, not promises of results.
Updates & Corrections
We periodically revisit pages to reflect changes in vendor pricing, policies, or product details. If you notice an error, contact editor@supplements.guide. Substantive corrections are timestamped in the page’s “Updated” meta.
